The Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is upgraded version of the standard teahouse trek to the base of the planet's highest peak. It combines the adventure of trekking in the iconic Everest region with a superior comfort. Unlike a regular Everest Base Camp Trek, this type includes better accommodation conditions, rooms with attached bathrooms when possible, hot showers, comfortable beds, high quality dining, good service and shorter travelling time due to helicopter transportation.

The total duration of this trip is 13 days, which includes the arrival and departure day in Kathmandu, the acclimatization period, the trek to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar and the return by helicopter from the Everest region.

Yes. No technical climbing experience is necessary, but trekkers need to be fit. This trek involves acclimatization periods as well as guides, which makes it perfect for first time high-altitude trekkers who prepare adequately.

Yes. You need to have travel insurance for trekking in the Himalayas. The insurance policy should cover you for high altitude trekking up to 6,000 meters, medical treatment and emergency helicopter evacuation. Besides, it should also provide coverage for trip delays and cancellations and baggage theft or loss.

In order to give you a better experience during your Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, there is an extra day included in your schedule in Kathmandu before departure from the country.

All three main meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in this trip. Tea or coffee is available for hot drinks and seasonal fruits are also provided based on availability. The meals will be offered at specially selected mountain lodges where the nutritional aspects are prioritized to keep you well-fed and energized while being at high altitude.

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and other meal options are available in most lodges located along the route to Everest Base Camp. We can arrange meals depending on your preferences and diet. It is recommended to inform our team about it before going on the trek.

Yes. You will have safe drinking water on the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. Filtered or boiled options are available at different points so staying hydrated is not an issue. Proper hydration helps with acclimatization at higher elevations.

Packing for the trek primarily involves bringing layered clothing and waterproof boots. Do not forget to pack a warm down jacket. Gloves and sunglasses plus sunscreen are useful too.
