Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is the oldest trekking trail which was used by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hilary to conquer Everest. This Trekking trail also leads to Kalapatthar and Everest region. The route is popular because it is the same route of earliest mountaineers and expeditionary teams also used the trail. The region is full of unspoiled culture and traditional life style therefore adventurous and exciting too.

Jiri to EBC Trek includes Kalapatthar climbing and overview of Everest region including the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and many other mountains. Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking route passes through Solukhumbu experiencing Sherpa culture. These High mountain settlers have something unique to offer you in every village. Different monasteries and chörtens with prayer flags make you feel spiritually blessed while walking to the Base Camp area. Everest region provides chances to excurse different flora and fauna along the trail. The picturesque views of forests, valleys, terraced fields, meadows and wilderness region etc. are some of the attractions of the trekking.

Jiri to Everest Base Camp trekking starts from Lukla and continues through Namche Bazaar and enters into Khumbu region. The trekking trail leads to Tengboche Monastery to Lobuche via Pheriche with opportunities to explore the surroundings in high elevation to grow spirituality. Trekking to Everest Base Camp via Jiri gives the wonderful experience of Tibetan culture in high elevation and pleasantly colorful views of rhododendron.

Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu

Day 05 : Trek to Nuntala(2330m,6 hour)
Day 06: Trek to Khari khola (2014m,5 hour)
Day 07: Trek to Puiyan ( 2250m, 6 hour)
Day 08: Trek to Phakding ( 2650m, 6 hour)
Day 09: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m.).
Day 10: Namche Bazaar - Acclimatization day.

Detail Itinerary

DDay 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to the country of Mt. Everest! As you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will receive you and transfer to the hotel which you have booked in Kathmandu. Hotel staffs will complete check in and manage for your accommodation. We organize welcome dinner in the hotel in the evening with our team.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Jiri- Bhandar Drive- 8 hrs.
On this day, we drive from Kathmandu to Jiri in private Jeep/car/van. Explore Jiri surrounding till evening. The trail offers beautiful views of meadows and valleys with terraced fields. We stay overnight in a Lodge..

Day 03: Bhandar- Sete Trekking- 7hrs. (3900m.)
On this day, we walk up to Sete passing through Lamjura Pass. The natural scenarios are eye-staking with full of green lush and meadows. The trail first drops down to Likhu Khola and continue to Kenja. The trail reach to an abandoned Gompa and traverses to Sete. We stay overnight in Sete. You can explore surrounding area in the evening.

Day 04: Sete - Junbesi Trekking- 7 hrs. (2700m.)
Our trek is set to Junbesi from Sete. It is pleasant trekking passing through green valleys and some settlements. You can explore the surrounding along the way to Junbesi. You can explore the surrounding in the afternoon. We stay overnight in a guest house, which is one of the growing local market of this area.

Day 05: Junbesi- Nunthala Trekking- 8hrs. (2220m.)
We follow the trail to reach Nunthala. The views are fantastic seen along the trail. It is through Phaplu and continues to Salleri. We climb at Traksindo Pass at 3150m after Ringmo khola and descend down to Nunthala Monastery enjoying astonishing views of mountains and valleys. We stay overnight guest house in Nunthala.

Day 06: Nunthala- Khari Khola Trekking- (2050m.)
On this day, we continue descending to Dudh Koshi River and pass through forests and valleys. The picturesque views of mountains and varied landscape gives pleasant experience while trekking along the trail. The trail passes through pastureland and several Sherpa villages. We stay overnight in a Guest house.

Day 07:  Khari Khola-Puiyan Trekking- 6 hrs. (2770m.)
This day trekking follows the trail to Puiyan, crossing Sherpa village and forests. The trek is full magnificent views of mountains and landscapes with experiencing fresh air in peaceful environment. We can see monkeys along the walk in the forests including other wild life and birds. We reach Puiyan and stay overnight in Guest house.

Day 08: Puiyan- Phakding Trekking- 6 hrs. (2652m.)
This day trek starts with climb to a ridge at 2800m and continues passing through Lukla Airport. Then we walk on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River enjoying the view of Nupla Himal, Kusum Kangaru etc. We walk gentle path for some time to Phakding where westay overnight in aGuest house.

Day 09: Phakding –Namche Trekking- 6 hrs. (3440m.)
On this day, we trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding Village through Dudh Koshi riverside. The trail is pleasant with the views of forests of pine, fir and Rhododendron trees. We reach Monjo which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The views of giant mountains are impressive while walking through the trail. We stay overnight in a hotel after exploring the surrounding area of Namche Bazaar.

Day 10: Acclimatization Day
It is acclimatization day in Namche so you have enough time to explore the life style of locals. Short hiking can be utilization of the time. High altitude can be harmful if we ignore resting. It is necessary to adjust your body with high elevation. You’d better to visit Khumjung and Thame to take advantage of the day. There, you can view the world’s amazing panoramic scenes of the earth and get chance to observe uniquely different Sherpa Culture.

Day 11: Namche- Tengboche trekking- 6hrs.  (3867m.)
After breakfast in Namche, we begin today trek. The trekking trail leads to Tengboche (also called Tengboche). The wonderful view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Aba Dablam is breath stopping for you. These giant mountains seem to be so near from there. If you are lucky, Mani Rimdu festival in the monastery gives everlasting experience of the dancing of monks wearing masks. The festival is very important of the region. Stay overnight in a lodge in Tengboche.

Day 12: Trek to Dingbouche-6 hrs. (4400m)
On this day, we reach to Dingboche with enjoying beautiful scenarios of mountains and landscape. The panoramic views of snow capped mountains and varied landscape gives pleasant experience while walking through the route. The pasture lands and some huts can be seen though the region is mostly abandoned except some settlements along the way. Stay in a lodge to spend nigh.

Day 13:  Acclimatization Day
This day is rest day in Dingboche area. You can walk to explore Dingboche monastery and Chhukung village while you are free for whole day. It is necessary to adjust with body and temperature in high elevation. You can rest all the day with full of enjoyment of the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Tawache, Nuptse, Kwangde etc. Stay overnight in guest house.

Day 14: Dingboche- Lobuche Trek- 5/6 hrs. (4930m.)
On this day, we begin climbing to Dugla and continue to Khumbu Glacier. The astonishing views of Tawache and Cholaste are eyes stacking. You can feel the high altitude because of extreme cold in Lobuche Village. Explore the surrounding in the afternoon and stay overnight in Dingboche.

Day 15: Lobuche- Gorakshep Trekking- 4 hrs. (5160m.)
On this day, we trek to the small mountain of Kalapatthar. Gigantic views of mountains and glaciers around you give a sense of heaven including close-up view of Mt. Everest, Amadablam and Pumori. We stay overnight in a camp.

Day 16: Gorakshep- Everest Base Camp- Lobuche Trekking- 8 hrs.  (51300m.)
On this day, we trek to Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep with the astonishing views of mountains and peaks. Everest Base Camp is the point for the mountaineers to summit the peak. The experience of being at the foothill of world’s highest mountain cannot be expressed in words. We return back to Lobuche in the afternoon and overnight stay there.

Day 17: Lobuche- Pangboche Trekking- 6hrs. (6189m.)
On this day, we retrieve back to Pangboche from Lobuche. The trail is same through Pheriche therefore you can enjoy same natural beauty while descending to the place to rest. The views of mountains and valleys are impressive along the trail. We stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 18: Pangboche-Namche Bazaar Trekking- 6hrs. (3440m.)
Retrieving journey to Namche Bazaar is pleasantly through valleys and pasturelands. We pass through Tengboche and continue through enjoying the picturesque view of Monjo valley. The distance of mountains make you feel watching for all the time. we reach Namche bazaar and stay overnight in a Lodge.

 Day 19:  Namche- Phakding-Lukla-7 hrs. (2800m.)
This day trekking trail follows a sandy path with strenuous walk. The trail is full of picturesque view of landscape and some mountain scenarios. You can explore Lukla Bazaar and shop local items there. You can celebrate your successful trekking there in Lukla with special brands of drinks. Evening time offers you to visit surrounding area before we stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 20: Lukla to Kathmandu
On this day, you fly to Kathmandu in the morning. This short and scenic flight possibly makes you feel nostalgic because of the glimpses of snowy mountains through private window of plane. You will be transferred to hotel where you either have leisure time or you may catch the last moments exploring the sights of Kathmandu. Shopping in market is another best option. In the evening, we have a celebration dinner together.

Day 21: Departure Day
As it is the last day, we have to bid goodbye to the guest as visit in Nepal comes to the end for this time. If you have time enough, you can have sightseeing and purchasing the token of love from Nepal. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, our representatives will take you to the TIA. We hope you will be planning for another adventure-trip while you are on returning back to your homeland. You can extend your Nepal stay if you have time and desire too.

Accommodations we provide

We provide all accommodations in local tea house lodges on twin sharing basis.  You will have standard tea houses/lodges/hotels in mountain which are common rooms with sharing washing and bathroom.  The lodges we choose is on standard of service and good location.  During the trip in Nepal, we will provide 2 nights hotel in Kathmandu.(Hotel standard is required )  And during your trekking,  If you would like to have private single room, then you can request by paying single supplement.
