Rolwaling Trek

The Rolwaling trek is one of the strenuous wilderness  trek of Nepal. This  trek starts from Dolakha, near Charikot, an eight-hour drive from Kathmandu. And it  provides an experience the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local cultures. This trek requires a good walking experience and a good physical form. There is technical route in Tashi Lepcha Pass. One should have a peaks climbing permit for this route.

The Sherpas named this deep valley ‘Rolwaling’ which means “the grave” due to its location deep down between the steep ice-giants of the Khumbu region. We have wonderful views of Mt.Gaurishanker, Rolwaling Himal, Chobabhamre, Dorje Lakpa, Yalung Ri and Pachharmo peak.

There is a Great nunnery Gompa called Bigu Gompa. There are more than 300 nuns. Two festivals are celebrated in a year in this place like manirimdu in Tenngboche Gompa in Kumbu region. In Sherpa Language Biku means "Seed". There is Sherpa village. View of Gaurishankar (7,145m), Melungtse (7,181m) and other mountains, a good landscapes; the village of Beding (3,690m) and monastery, the village of Na (4,183m), Tso Rolpa lake are the main attractions.

Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu, transfer to hotel, brief about the trip, and well-come dinner at evening through the typical Nepalese kitchen.
Day 02 : Drive Kathmandu - Chjarikot (1850m)
Day 03 : Trek to Biguti (890m).
Day 04 : Trek to Surey dovan (1020m).
Day 05 : Trek to Jagat (1395m).
Day 06 : Trek to Simigaou (2000m).
Day 07 : Trek to Kelchey (2990m).
Day 08 : Trek to Beding (3700m).
Day 09 : Trek to Nagaou (4200m).
Day 10 : Acclimatization day.
Day 11 : Trek to Tso Rolpo (4525m).
Day 12 : Trek to Tolumbhu Buka (4850m).
Day 13 : Crossing Tashi Lakpa pass (5755m), and camp at Thengpo (4300m).
Day 14 : Trek to Khumjung (3600m).
Day 15 : Trek to Namche Bazar (3600m).
Day 16 : Rest day at Namche Bazar.
Day 17 : Trek to Phakding (2600m).
Day 18 : Trek to Lukla (2804m).
Day 19 : Flight Lukla - Kathmandu.
